- Depending on the model, it may be a temperamental stapler that will only staple paper that is held in just one position

PROS:
- Can staple a large stack of papers with ease
- Only takes one hand to activate
- Faster and more efficient

XAlternatives:

- First consider the amount of pages you have to staple at any given time.

- If you will always have three to six pages the most or when you have many pages you will place them into a Report Cover, then buy a standard Handheld or Desktop stapler.

- Look for the Handheld models that have an ergonomic design.

Handheld staplers are still much cheaper than electric staplers. The table top or desktop models are best for stapling a large number of papers at one time.

If you have a real need for an electric stapler due to large paper volume or physical challenges, buy a Rechargeable Battery Operated stapler.

Rechargeable units have all the Pros of an electric
stapler. Plus they don't use any electricity by being plugged in all the time, cost less to buy, and have a Low Staple indicator. Thus leaving only two cons to deal with and that is only if the model is temperamental or gets jammed.
