KITCHEN APPLIANCES - Toaster Ovens / Toasters

Toaster Ovens can and do save energy and money.

But how?

First know that this isn't about what makes the best toast or how many watts are used.

This is about knowing what appliance to use for what task.

Let's sort this out...

When cooking or heating up food for the family (three or more) use your oven.

When cooking or heating up food for just yourself or for two people, use the Toaster Oven or a microwave.
For Example:
A few slices of left over pizza are best re-heated in a Toaster Oven, especially if you like them crispy.

Most well made Toaster Ovens make toast just as well as Toasters and when you are making several slices, a Toaster Oven with two racks can toast eight slices for less.

However, if you are just toasting one or two slices then use a Toaster. If you don't have a Toaster, fine, just use the Toaster Oven.

As far as just owning one or the other... Toaster Oven vs Toaster.
We suggest the "Toaster Oven" since it offers more options and is more diversified to saving energy and money.
