KITCHEN APPLIANCES - Waffle Iron

And in the morning I'm making Waffles!

Also some homemade hash browns and veggie bacon strips.

But this time I have a choice...

I can plug in my 900 watt Waffle Iron to make waffles or I can use my gas stove and save.

If Natural Gas is available, look into a Gas Stove . Professionals and more people prefer gas stoves.

Professional chefs do not like electric stoves for several reasons:

First, an electric stove has a gradual change in temperature. Gas flames give you instant temperature change between adjustments. This type of precision is desired by all chefs.

Second, the heat distribution from an electric stove is only at the surface of direct contact. Gas flames reach all around the pot, providing more evenly cooked foods.

Third, Electric stoves make the kitchen hotter. Gas stoves put less heat into the kitchen.
Professional chefs don't go by the saying, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."
They control the heat !

Watchdog in Action:
Since I will already have my stove on to cook up the hash browns and veggie bacon, I am going to use the good old design for waffle making. Placing this Waffle Iron (seen below) on the gas stove to heat up and cook my waffles, is more efficient than using 900 watts for about 3/4 of an hour. (counting warm up time, before making waffles)

Also with controlling the heat, you can control the cooking of your waffles with a Waffle Iron. Just flip the Waffle Iron over if one side is not as golden brown as the other side.

These Waffle Irons come in round or square. They also are available in cast iron or aluminum. We strongly recommend the cast iron over aluminum. However, if the cast iron is too heavy for you, then aluminum is the right choice.
