Water Myths
Definition of MYTHS:
- A misrepresentation of the truth
-
A widely held, but false belief or idea
-
An exaggerated or idealized conception
- A fictitious or imaginary person or thing
A MYTH: You shouldn't remove all the minerals found in water
that are good for you by Distilling!
THE TRUTH:
The American Medical Journal states that the human body has mineral needs mostly met through foods,
not drinking water.
Watchdog in Action:
In fact, if you wanted to obtain your RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) of Calcium, you would have to drink six hundred glasses of water a day. (About 600 glasses of water per day to get enough calcium!)
How about your RDA of Magnesium? Only about one hundred and sixty thousand glasses of water a day!
A well balance diet is your best way of getting your needed organic minerals. Drinking pure distilled water is not going to deprive you of any minerals, because not even 8 glasses of mineral water per day can supply you with any RDA level. Pure distilled water meets all functions for water in the human body,
such as: lubricate, transport, dissolve, flush, and cushion.
The Greeks used the distillation process to make seawater fresh and clean for drinking on their ships
The Romans used Solar distillation to make fresh and clean drinking water for their soldiers
The Chinese used earthenware distillers during the Ming dynasty
Distilled water has been used for well over 2,000 years!

A MYTH: Minerals are leached from your system by Distilled water!
THE TRUTH:
If Distilled water was able to remove elements from your body, such as minerals, then what prevents the removal of all other things? Distilled water can't distinguish between inorganic particulates, minerals, or any other kind of nutrients in order to remove some and not another. After digesting minerals, there is no scientific evidence showing that Distilled water removes minerals that are good for our health.

A MYTH: Distilled water has an acidic and flat taste!
THE TRUTH:
Water is not supposed to have a taste at all. Most people don't like their water because it is tainted and has a taste. Due to this, the best restaurants put orange and lemon slices into the water they serve. Distilled water has a delicious taste because there is no taste!
Watchdog in Action: Also Distilled water is viewed as neutral, with a pH of 7, right in the middle. Distilled will have no effect on your body's acid/alkaline balance. Buying counter top devices that make your water mostly alkaline is simply a waste!

A MYTH: Buying a water distiller will cost way too much and is difficult to operate!
THE TRUTH:
The basic water distillers are easier to use than some coffee makers and the small portable units can be found on sale for just over $120.00. Also as we previously present on our Water Solution page the savings offer a payback on your investment in a very short period of time.
